DDR, DDR2 Prices to Drop?

TG Daily reports that the oversupply of DDR and DDR2 may trigger price plunges.

With global DRAM output continuing to grow, oversupply in the DDR and DDR2 segments will worsen over the upcoming months, and the effects can be expected to weigh on memory price trends in both the contract and spot markets, memory research specialist InSpectrum indicated. [TG Daily]

This could be good news for PC enthusiasts looking to grab some higher capacitiy memory modules. It's probably best to monitor prices from our favorite computer shops these upcoming months. Who knows, maybe that dual channel memory set you've been eyeing for quite some time now can have a "bargain" price this upcoming holiday season.
