The Gadgeteer reviews the OQO Model 01+ Ultra Personal Computer (US$2,000.00), an ulta portable Windows PC that features a 1GHz Transmeta Crusoe processor, 512MB DDR RAM memory, 30GB hard drive, 800 x 480 W-VGA 5" transflective display, 802.11b wireless, Bluetooth wireless, 4-pin FireWire (1394) & USB 2.0 expansion, and removable lithium polymer battery.
You can't help but be impressed by such a small device that can run Windows XP Pro, has WiFi, Bluetooth, and a keyboard built in. ... BUT, as a mobile device, the OQO has some real deficiencies. The screen is much too dim. Much too spongy and not the best for stylus input. [The Gadgeteer]
It would be great if Apple, HP, and Palm gets into the ultra portable bandwagon. Unit prices would be much lower (with HP & Palm, most probably), the displays would probably be much better, and yeah, stylus input would also be "PDA-like".
