X-bit Labs evaluates the ASRock 4Core1333-eSATA2, an Intel LGA775 motherboard that features Intel P31 and ICH7R chipsets, FSB1333/1066/800 MHz, 4 x DDR2 667/800 memory slots, Gigabit LAN, 4 x SATAII, eSATAII connector, Firewire.
"… I couldn't get rid of the impression that it was an older mainboard, used for quite a while before it got into our lab. I cannot agree with those web-sites that awarded ASRock 4Core1333-eSATA2 with a "Highly Recommended" title. I couldn't find any advantages in the ASRock 4Core1333-eSATA2 mainboard that the other mainboards out there do not have. However, I can list quite a few things that are obviously missing." [X-bit Labs]
The ASRock 4Core1333-eSATA2 doesn't seem to be a good buy. It would be best to look at other Intel P31 chipset based motherboards.
