ATI Radeon HD 2900 Pro Graphics Card Reviewed

hd2900pro imgX-bit Labs reviews the ATI Radeon HD 2900 Pro (~US$249), a graphics card chipset that features the ATI R600 GPU, 512-bit 512MB or 1024MB GDDR3 memory, 600MHz core frequency, 600MHz shader frequency, 1600MHz memory frequency, 102.4 GB/s memory bandwidth, DirectX 10, Shader Model 4.0, and CrossFire support.

"The ATI Radeon HD 2900 Pro is undoubtedly a success. Priced at only $249 it provides an acceptable speed in most of our tests as opposed to graphics cards with the mainstream GPUs RV630 and G84. ... the ATI Radeon HD 2900 Pro is perhaps the best graphics card in the $249 price category - if you are lucky to find it selling for this price!" [The Quick and the Totaled: ATI Radeon HD 2900 Pro Graphics Card Review | X-bit Labs]

The HD 2900 Pro is actually a "handicapped" HD 2900 XT with lower core, shader, and memory frequencies. This would truly be a best-bang-per-buck for the $250 price range.
