DirectX10 Cards for Non-Gamers

2600pro imgExtremeTech tests eight graphics cards that are DirectX10 capable. Six are affordable ones ranging from US$70 - $200, and were compared to two high-end gaming cards.

"We've already rated many of these cards in earlier articles, so instead of scoring them again, we'll slot them into scenarios for which they'd be appropriate. Each of these cards has its strengths and weaknesses. As most of the benchmarks showed, you get what you paid for. If all you're looking for is simple graphics and absolutely no gaming flare, the cheapest ATI or Nvidia card will suffice. They're remarkably quiet and energy efficient, to boot (especially the midrange and low-end ATI cards)." [ExtremeTech]

If you need a DirectX10 card for business Vista PC, a home office PC, or low-end low-performance PC, be sure to check the test results. I guess the Radeon HD 2600 Pro or the GeForce 8600 GT would be good for most people.
